Tea Party

I had some fun stitching going on Saturday morning... and then we had some tea parties over here.

With six kinds of tea... lemon, peppermint, orange, camomile, strawberry & green tea

and a jar full of delicious cookies

 

chocolate chip, Oreo's and sugar cookies. They are DE-LICIOUS! want the recipe? all you need is some felt, a bit of embroidery thread, some seed beads for the sugar pearls (if you make this for little kids you can just embroider this part with french knots) and some time! cut out cookie shapes, hand stitch the chocolate chips and sugar decor in place, machine stitch two layers of felt together and you're done. For the Oreo's I used one black layer on each side and two white felt layers for the filling.

I made this backgammon board a while ago... It turned out more difficult than I thought to get those triangles straight (which I didn't)... but I like how it turned out.

Today we celebrate the Jewish New Year - Rosh HaShana.

So I made this little simple felt garland with my daughter. It includes the Hebrew version for a Happy New Year and the seasonal fruits -apples, pomegranates, pears and some leaves for variety. I simply cut out the fruits and letters from felt and sew them together in line...

Dandelions for Denise

I have a friend Denise who is very dear to me. I am grateful to her because she taught me embroidery, but much more than this she prays for me and encourages me to pursue my creative goal. I can really dream a lot and my mind is spinning constantly about ideas. I can start a hundred projects but to finish them is the real challenge. Well Denise helped me to keep going and finishing stuff. So she deserves some Dandelions. I almost had it wrapped when I remembered to snap a few shots.
